Junior Programmes: Information

We can tailor our programme to suit the needs of your group, and can offer short programmes (1 week) to longer programmes of up to 1 month. In general students will arrive to Ireland the day before their course starts and depart the day after their course finishes. However we can be flexible regarding course duration and start dates and can accommodate mid-week arrivals to suit the needs of your group. Talk to us about your requirements.

Our Teaching Method

English at Dublin City University programmes draw heavily from the communicative based language tuition model. It focuses on the four main facets of the English language:Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. Each skill is addressed both in isolation and integrated with other skills to reflect real life language situations. All students conduct an entrance level evaluation test and are placed into classes at an appropriate level to enable them to meet their personal learning goals during their time at DCU. Students undertake specifically designed programmes for younger learners. At the end of the programme your students will take an ‘Exit Test’, allowing students and parents to see the progress that students have made at DCU.

Social Activities

We offer a wide range of social activities including:

- Day Trips to Cultural Attractions in Ireland

- Sports Activities on Campus

- City Centre based activities

- Traditional Irish Activities including Irish Dancing

- Movie Nights

We can design your programme to suit the needs of your group.

Airport Transfers

We offer Airport Transfers from Dublin Airport to DCU as standard for our Junior Group Programmes. Our Arrivals Coordinator will meet your group upon landing at Dublin Airport and assist in your transfer to Dublin City University. Please note that we request that all students will arrive to Dublin on the same flight.

Team Leaders Go Free

We offer one free Team Leader place per 15 students.
