This Sunday, discover where modern and ancient Dublin meet.  During this trip, we will explore areas where the mighty Vikings settled over 1300 years ago!!

Learn about how the Dublin Vikings lived and died and visit the area where the largest slave market in Europe was located! Learn about the two great Dublin cathedrals – one Viking and one Norman, the bloody expulsion of the Vikings from their own city and the Norman invasion of Ireland!

Afterwards, we will head to Glendalough – “the valley of the two lakes”, to discover the picturesque scenery and history behind this great monastic city.  It is a famous religious site with amazing views and a beautiful nature walk along the two lakes. You’ll also hear the story of how the Vikings attacked this famous dwelling and many others like it.

Finally, on the way home, we will take in some of the beautiful Wicklow mountain views and get some great photo opportunities at places such as the ‘Guinness Lake’!
